There’s a unique kind of magic when words and wellbeing come together.
Welcome to “The Wild Poets Society” a new gentle, supportive community space for anyone who loves poetry and words as a path to wellbeing, supported mental health and healing, and promoting self-expression.
My name is Michael (aka WalkWild Wellbeing); you may have joined me on a walk, and heard a poem or two or stories about how nature and the wild spaces we encounter in life inspire me.
After some difficult times, I have walked and written my way back to wellbeing, and so here is the fightback, the wild released and ready the role, so here it is… The Wild Poets Society and I invite you to be part of it.
More about me can be found on my website – www.walkwild.net
The aim of TWPS is to create a safe, gentle, creative space for you to:
Write freely, no rules, no experience needed, just your truth.
Share words that have helped or inspired you.
Draw inspiration from nature, life, joy, resilience, and quiet moments
Connect with others who understand how deeply words can nurture us
Whether you’re a lifelong poet or someone who hasn’t written a line since school, your voice matters, your words matter, you are welcome and belong here.
Poetry doesn’t just describe wellbeing, it is wellbeing.
It gives shape to the feelings that feel too big to hold, names the grief that feels unspeakable, gives rhythm to anxious thoughts, and reminds us that hope and beauty can grow even in the hardest seasons.
This first meeting of the Wild Poets Society, will be held within the beautiful setting of the Lake House, complete with lakeside cafe and endearing shop.
Come find your words. Come find your peace. Come find your people.
Whether you come to write, to read, simply to listen, or to make new friends, I look forward to meeting with you.
To book at this introductory price of £9.50 please book via my website page www.walkwild.net/events (
